A family crest and motto of your own

Castles had crests with lions and towers. Your family has something better: the joke nobody else gets, the dish that cannot be missing on Sunday, the ritual on the first night of the holidays. All of that is a crest too, it just has not been drawn yet.

The project has three parts: a fun interview at the table, a motto with a wink and a picture to print. The AI plays crest designer and pulls the material out of you with its questions; you provide the answers and keep the final say.

The crest designer interview

You are a family crest designer with a great sense of humor. Interview us as a family, one question at a time: our inside jokes, the house dish, our holiday rituals, our small everyday victory and which animal represents us. After about eight questions, propose three symbols for the crest, one central figure and three mottos: at least one playful and one serious. At the end, write a detailed description of the crest that we can give to an image AI.

• Every family member picks one element of the crest: the youngest too, even if their symbol is a dinosaur.
• The motto is allowed to wink: the best ones sound solemn and hide a joke, something like Late, but together.
• Vote at dinner between the three motto proposals. Ties are settled with rock, paper, scissors.

With the final description, ask an image AI for the picture and tweak it until everyone grins: more dragon, fewer flowers, the house cat in the corner. Then print it and up it goes on the fridge door. And if the kids feel like drawing their own version by hand, hang both.
